We welcome Fr. Kashif to our parish and look forward to the sharing of his vast experience and spirituality with us.

Fr. Kashif was named parochial vicar for Saint Patrick Parish in York and Sacred Heart Parish in Spring Grove in June 2025.

Background

I was born in a small village namely “Mariamabad” (Village of Mary) in Pakistan. There are all Catholic families in this village. There are only two Muslim families. I did all my studies in Pakistan. I have 3 brothers and two sisters. I am youngest in the family. All my brothers and sisters are married. I joined the Capuchin Seminary in 1995 when I was 15 years old. I was ordained priest on August 16, 2008. I worked in the parish as parochial vicar for two years. I did my license in Philosophy from Italy. I have been teaching the seminarians for few years.

Past Assignments/Experience

I came to United States in 2017. I worked in UPMC Pinnacle for 2 years as Catholic Chaplain and mean time use to help for Masses and confessions in different parishes. I worked in Geisinger Medical Center and Maria Joseph Manor in Danville as Catholic Chaplain for 2 years. I came to St. Patrick’s Carlisle in June 2021. This was first time (In USA) that am working in the parish as parochial vicar and Catholic Campus Minister in the Dickinson College. In Oct 2023, I was transferred to St. James Catholic Church in Lititz, PA as a parochial vicar, and then reassigned in June 2024 to St. Joseph Church in Hanover, PA.

Interests

I like to read different books on spirituality.
I read homily books.
I read books on Sacraments.
My role model is Jesus Christ and then St. Francis of Assisi.
I am allergic to shrimps.
I love to eat spicy buffalo wings.
In my childhood I use to get new clothes that use to be the best gift.
My favorite Christmas song is “Silent Night Holy Night….”
